Equipment

  • Scissors, hot glue gun and glue sticks.

Materials

  • Foam Cone
  • Christmas themed Sock.
  • Crew Sock.
  • Small wooden craft ball.
  • Craft Faux fur fabric.

Instructions

  • Start by cutting the crew sock right above the heel.
Turn the cone upside down and pull the sock over the wide end of the cone, centering the crease of the toe line over the end and working it over the cone.
  • Secure the crew sock to the cone by gluing around the inside of the sock where you made the cut in step one, then gluing the sock to the cone as needed.
  • Carefully cut the a strip of faux fur that is 5X2.5".
Trim the bottom of the fur to an angle, leaving about an inch wide center.
Glue the backside of the top of the faux fur to the top of the crew sock that you glued on to the gnome.
  • To make the hat, cut the Christmas themed sock right above the heel.
Next, pull or fit the sock over the top of the cone, somewhat overlapping the crew sock.
Apply hot glue to the inside of the Christmas sock, gluing it on to the crew sock.To fit the hat to the cone, cut a slit down the backside of the Christmas sock, then make small diagonal cuts on each side as needed to remove excess material.
  • Glue the Christmas sock to the cone, shaping it as needed.Lastly, glue the wooden ball to the center of the beard for the nose.
