Materials

  • Empty cardboard toilet paper roll.
  • Construction paper- light pink, dark pink, and light color for the sign.
  • Pipe cleaner for the tail.
  • Black marker for detailing the elements.
  • Pencil, crayon/marker (for cheeks), scissors, glue/glue stick/ or glue gun

Instructions

  • Download the template, Cut out the pieces from the template. , and Assemble the remaining materials needed for the project.
  • For the body, lay the empty roll on top of the light pink paper and trace the roll (about 1 ⅝ X 5 ½"). Then glue the paper on top of the roll to make the body.
  • For the head, trace the head on the light pink paper and then cut it out. Repeat this for the arms and legs on the light pink paper.
  • On the dark pink paper, trace the ears and nose and cut them out. To make a sign for the pig to hold, simply cut out a small rectangle and write your message on it, leaving room for the arms to attach.
  • For the head, glue the dark pink nose on to the face and add dots for the nostrils. Use a marker to draw a mouth, eyes, and eyebrows. Add cheeks using a colored pencil, crayon, or marker. Glue the ears on to the back of the head. Then attach the head to the top of the roll.
  • For the arms and legs, color the ends black. Glue the flat sides of the arms and legs on to the tp roll (arms on the back and legs on the bottom). Attach the sign to the backside of the hands for the piggie to hold it.
  • Make a tail using a pipe cleaner and glue it on.
