- 1 box Angel Food Cake Mix
- 1 ⅓ cup Water
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 7 oz Marshmallow Fluff
- ½ cup Shortening
- ⅓ cup Powdered Sugar
- 2 tsp Water - very warm or hot works best
Prep your Twinkie baking pan for nonstick. Preheat your oven to 325
Mix together the cake mix, water, and vanilla extract on a medium high speed until creamy
Transfer the mixture to the prepared pan, filling it to about half full.Bake the cakes until they begin to turn golden brown. Flip the cake pan over on to a cutting board of cooling rack so that the cutting board or cooling rack in on the bottom.Allow the cakes to fully cool.
Beat together the marshmallow fluff and shortening until they are creamy and smooth.Next, gradually add in the powdered sugar and then the water to the filling mixture and continue to mix until combined. Fill your piping bag, pastry tip, or injector with the filling.To fill the cakes, we will inject the filling into three spots on the bottom of each cake (center and sides). Enjoy!
