Slice the bagel lengthwise in half if it has not already been sliced. Place the seed in the foil pan/plate/shallow bowl or similar item.
Carefully spread the peanut butter generously over the inside of the bagel where it had been sliced.
Press the peanut butter covered side of the bagel into the birdseed that you prepared in step one. This is an easy step for kids to help with.
Next, place a piece of twine through the hole in the middle of each bagel, and tie in a double knot where the two ends meet.
Hang the feeder on a tree branch or similar location.
