  • Prepare a rimmed baking sheet for nonstick. Then arrange the saltines side by side so that they touch one another but, do not overlap.
    Preheat your oven to 400.
  • In a saucepan over medium-low heat, combine together the butter and brown sugar, stirring as it heats up. Bring this to a boil (two to three minutes, 270 degrees).
  • Carefully, pour this over the crackers that you prepared in the last step, evenly covering all of the crackers.
    Place the baking sheet into your oven until the ingredients bubble (about five to seven minutes) and then remove the baking sheet from the oven and place on a heat safe work space.
  • Quickly disperse the chocolate chips over the warm ingredients so that the chips melt. Then add any additional toppings such as sprinkles. Once the crack has set, you can use the parchment paper to flip it over on to a clean work area and break into pieces.
