Ingredients

Instructions

  • Prepare. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Prepare your roasting pan for nonstick. Nonstick spray or aluminum foil can work in this recipe.
  • Ham. Place the ham into the roasting pan with the 'fat-side' (curved) up and the cut side (flat) down.
  • Bake. Make a foil tent over the ham (cover the ham loosely) and the bake the ham for one and a half hours.
  • Glaze. About an hour and 20 minutes into baking, you can prepare your glaze. In a small saucepan on medium heat, combine together the apricot preserves, mustard, brown sugar, vinegar, and garlic powder. Use a whisk to mix the ingredients as they heat. Once the glaze is slightly thickened and smooth, you can remove it from the heat.
  • Baste. Remove the foil tent from your ham and use a pastry brush or similar item to generously brush the glaze over the ham. Return the ham to the oven and bake for 15 minutes. Then brush the remaining glaze over the ham and continue to bake for another 15 minutes.
  • Rest. Allow the ham to rest for 10 minutes after removing it from the oven. Then you can slice and serve the ham.
