Tips for making the best glazed ham.
Make sure that you are using a fully cooked bone-in ham for this recipe. This kind of ham has the best flavor and moisture for this recipe.
More helpful tips for you.
- While not essential, using a knife to make shallow (about ¼") crisscrosses over the ham can help the glaze penetrate into the ham. The crisscrossed also add to the presentation of the baked ham.
- Tenting the ham with foil while baking allows the ham to retain its moisture. The tent is then removed to allow the glaze to caramelize and become golden.
- Lastly, the last step before serving the ham is to allow the ham to rest. This is done to allow the juices to properly distribute throughout the ham for optimal moisture.

How to store Brown Sugar Glazed Ham
Once your ham has fully cooled it can be stored in an airtight container or wrapped up well in foil. When properly stored, the leftover ham should keep for up to five days when refrigerated or up to a couple of months when frozen.
