Instructions

  • Paint the base of your clay pot with light brown acrylic craft paint. Also paint the rime of the clay pot and saucer with the dark brown acrylic paint.
    Let the paint fully dry and then repeat the painting process if needed.
  • Using a detail paintbrush, create an “X” pattern around the rim of the clay pot with light brown acrylic craft paint.
  • Next, place the clay saucer on top of the pot (as a lid) and continue the cross-hatching pattern.
    Allow the paint to dry and the repeat the painting if needed.
  • Glue the wooden stem in the center of the clay saucer.
  • Add a face to the acorn by attaching two wiggle eyes with a glue gun and glue sticks.
    For the cheeks, dip a clean pencil eraser into the pink craft paint and make two dots just below the eyes and off to the sides.
    Using a black marker make a smile for the cheeks, connecting the cheeks.
  • Lastly, use your just twin to tie a bow around the wooden stem
