    More helpful tips.

    1. Using pretzel sticks in this recipe helps to shape the webs. You can jazz up the flavor of your spider webs by using flavored pretzels instead or in addition to the regular pretzels.

Ingredients needed to make chocolate pretzel spider webs.

    • Pretzel Sticks- 40 (average sized sticks).
    • Chocolate Chips- 1 cup total. You can use white and or chocolate chips.
    • Optional- edible eyes, Halloween sprinkles, and edible bugs and edible spiders (the candy kind).

How to make Chocolate Spider Web Pretzels

Step 1. Prepare your work surface. Line a rimmed baking sheet or preferred work area (I like a baking sheet because it is portable) with parchment paper.

Step 2. Get the ingredients ready. For each web you will need eight pretzel sticks. Arrange the eight pretzels in a circle with one end of each pretzel pointing to the center. It should look like a bicycle tire once the eight pretzels are all in place.

Melt the chocolate in your microwave or stove top according the the packaging. I use a microwave safe bowl and stop every 30 seconds to stir the chocolate until fully melted. Another option is to use a microwave-safe bag to microwave your chocolate in.

Step 3. Assemble the spider webs. Transfer the melted chocolate to a piping bag or plastic bag that you can cut a corner off of once filled with chocolate. Start from the center of pretzel wheel where the pretzels all meet. Squeeze the melted chocolate out slowly working in a spiral and stop when you’re close to the edges of the pretzel sticks. The repeat until you have made five webs.

Allow the pretzel chocolate spider webs to dry. This should take about an hour at room temperature or sooner if refrigerated or placed in the freezer.
