- Pebbles- turquoise pebbles and white pebbles. These pebbles represent the sea or water.
- Seashells
- Glue gun and sticks.
- Gorilla glue (clear grip is what was used on my frame) or similar glue.
- Optional- unfinished frame and white craft paint. Also, sandpaper or emery board for distressing the frame.
How to make this DIY Beach Theme Frame Craft
Step One: prepare the frame.
Remove the glass from the frame and set it in a safe place.
We will put the glass back into the frame when the project has been completed.
If your frame needs to be to be painted allow it to fully dry.
Also, if your frame needs to be 'distressed' you can use sandpaper or an emery board to sand off random areas to make the frame look 'weathered'.
Step Two: attach the pebbles to the frame.
To give this frame a 'seaside' vibe we will attach blue and white pebbles to the lover left corner of the frame.
The pebbles should be attached using the Gorilla glue. Please take precautions and apply the glue as indicated on the package instructions.
Apply a small amount of the glue to the front bottom of the frame.
Then, immediately place the pebbles on the glue. Sprinkling the pebbles is the easiest way to do this.
You should press the pebbles to assure that they will stick.
My frame has the pebbles along the bottom and about two inches up the left side of the frame.
Step Three: Add the seashells.
Randomly glue on the seashells over the pebbles once the pebble glue has dried.
My shells were glued by applying the glue to the shell and then gently pressing the shell into the frame.
Allow the glue to dry.
EXPERT TIP: Do a dry run with placing the seashells on to the frame before actually gluing them in place.
When the frame is complete you can place the glass and any photos or artwork into the frame.
