How to make the graham cracker crust Base.
Ingredients Needed:
- Graham Cracker Crumbs-3 cups
- Granulated White Sugar-¼ cup
- Melted Unsalted Butter-¾ cup
Steps to make the crust
- Preheat your oven to bake 350 degrees Fahrenheit and prep a 9 x 13 baking dish with parchment paper that overhangs the edges.
- In a mixing bowl combine together the graham crumbs, sugar, and melted butter. Mix the ingredients until the are able to stick together.
- Transfer the mixture to the prepped baking dish and evenly press them into the baking dish to form the crust. Use the backside of a spoon or spatula to help as needed. Then bake for 15 minutes, remove from oven, and allow to cool.

- Sweet Potatoes- 4 cups mashed (should be cooked first).
- Brown Sugar- 1 cup.
- Butter- 1 cup softened to room temperature.

- Sweetened Condensed Milk- 28 ounces.
- Vanilla Extract- 1 ½ teaspoons.
- Ground Cinnamon- 1 teaspoon.
- Pumpkin Pie Spice- 1 teaspoon.
- Marshmallows- 13 ounce small or halved large.
How to make Tasty Sweet Potato Pie Bars
Step One: Prepare the mixture.
Make the crust as indicated above and leave the oven on after removing the baked crust. Meanwhile, in a mixing bowl, on medium speed, beat together the mashed cooked sweet potatoes, brown sugar, and butter until smooth (about two to three minutes). Add the eggs one at a time, mixing between additions. Then turn the mixer down to slow and the unprepared pudding mix, condensed milk, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and pumpkin pie spice. Mix on low for one minute and then increase the speed to until blended (about two minutes more).
Step Two: Bake the bars.
Transfer the blended ingredients to the cooled crust, evenly spreading the mixture to fully cover the crust.
Bake this for 40-45 minutes or until the top begins to turn golden brown.
Step Three: Add the marshmallow layer and finish.
Take the baking dish out of the oven and turn the oven to broil.
Place the marshmallows on top of the baked sweet potato layer and broil for for 1 ½ to no more than two minutes.
Turn your oven to broil and place marshmallow topped pie back in the oven on the middle rack.
***Keep a very close eye on this to avoid lighting the marshmallows on fire. ***
Step Four: Finish
Remove the baking pan from the oven, cover the pan lightly with a clean kitchen towel.
Allow the baked pie bars to cool in the pan at room temperature for at least one hour to set the pie filling. Once the Pie has completely cooled and set, use the overhanging parchment paper to gently lift the bars out of the pan and cut into bars. Tip: rinse the knife with hot water (and dry) in between each cut to keep marshmallow from sticking to everything.
