    • Notify your family members that you are wanting to plan the event. Ask if anyone wants to help plan it out with you.
    • As a family, decide on a date for your family movie night.
    • Take suggestions for movies. Consider movies that are age-specific or movies that are appropriate for everyone that will be there.
    • Plan the food and beverages for the evening. Ordering pizza or making popcorn are popular ideas. Make a shopping list.
    • Will you be watching your movie on a screen? You can find affordable projection screens easily online for movie nights.
    • Decide if you will use a computer, phone, or other method of streaming your movie
    • Consider using a Chromecast for the easy streaming!

    A serious favorite Disney movie with about every age (in case you did not know it.) Princess Anna, Mountain Man Kristoff and Olaf the Snowman set out to save Princess Elsa and the magical land of Arendelle . Oscar winner for Best Animated Feature.

    3. The Mighty Ducks

    Emilio Estevez plays a trial lawyer Gordon Bombay who is slapped with a community service assignment.
    The assignment is that he must coach a team of young pee wee hockey players who cannot skate or play hockey. This feel good movie goes from learning that there are more important things than winning to having a fun time!

    The 1992 movie was filmed on location in Minneapolis, Minnesota and is said to have been an inspiration for the professional NHL team.

    4. The Mighty Ducks: D2

    The Mighty Ducks, along with Emilio Estevez as coach, Junior Goodwill Games, the Ducks face losing unless they can defrost their coach and recapture what made them mighty in the first place.

    This is the sequel to the first one listed above.

    5. D3: The Mighty Ducks.

    This is obviously a popular movie franchise at this is the third installment of The Mighty Ducks.
    In this sequel the Ducks are enrolled in a prep school with a prestigious hockey program.

    6. Cool Runnings.

    This feel good John Candy movie is based upon the story of four Jamaican athletes competing as bobsled racers at the Winter Olympics. The movie is based on a true story about the unlikely formation of a Jamaican bobsled team to compete in the 1988 Winter Olympics.

    7. Mr. Popper's Penguins.

    This uplifting movie stars Jim Carrey and of course, penguins.
    Mr. Popper is a businessman who inherits six penguins.
    He then transforms his apartment into a winter wonderland.

    8. Back to the Future

    You probably have already heard of this classic movie and the two that follow it. Marty McFly ( played by Michael J. Fox) is blasted to 1955 in the time machine created by Doc Brown (Christopher Lloyd). Marty finds himself in a situation that could easily jeopardize his future.
    This title is: Feel-good, Exciting, Light

    9. Back to the Future 2

    Again...Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) and Doc Brown (Christopher Lloyd) are paired together. They launch themselves to the year 2015 and inadvertently disrupt the space/time continuum.
    This title is: Light, Exciting

    10. Back to the Future 3

    Ditto from above only they travel back to 1885. T Stranded in 1955 after a freak accident, Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) discovers he must travel back to 1885 to rescue Doc Brown (Christopher Lloyd) before he becomes smitten with school teacher Clara Clayton.

    Starring: Michael J. Fox , Christopher Lloyd , Lea Thompson , and Mary Steenburgen.

    11. Bambi

    Personally, this one saddens me however, it is an early Disney classic. Bambi sets off with his friends Thumper and Flower to explore the wonders of the woods – and fulfill his destiny as prince of the forest. I like to skip the end...

    12. Babe

    It's a pig's life in this award winning story of a shy little pig. With the help of an assortment of barnyard friends, Babe discovers that he can be anything he wants to be!

    14.March of the Penguins

    This wonderful movie is something you will remember.

    15. Balto.

    There are also sequels to this popular movie.
    In this animated adventure, an outcast half-wolf, half-dog finds his true self when he risks his life delivering medicine to an isolated Alaskan village.

    This classic adventure is about a beautiful young woman and her one true love who must find her after a long separation. They must battle the evils of the mythical kingdom to reunite. Based on the William Goldman novel.

    17. Happy Feet.

    Yes, another penguin movie. Away from home for the first time, Mumble meets a posse of decidedly un-Emperor-like penguins.

    18. Happy Feet 2.

    This is the sequel to the movie just above. Mumble is back and he has a problem because his tiny son, Erik, is choreo-phobic. Reluctant to dance, Erik runs away and encounters The Mighty Sven—a penguin who can fly!

    19. Snow Dogs.

    In this movie a dog-hating dentist receives an inheritance of a championship-caliber dogsled team!

    20. The Snowman.

    A totally underrated movie starring David Bowie.

    When a young boy wakes up one winter morning to find a thick blanket of snow he becomes filled with excitement, The boy builds a snowman using a tangerine for his nose, and coal for his buttons and eyes. He then gives the snowman a hat and scarf. Later that night, at the stroke of midnight, the snowman comes to life!

    The young boy and the snowman embark on a magical adventure. The snowman then takes the boy flying to his home in the North Pole. Upon arriving at the North Pole, the two join a party as the guests of honor to a very special person. Based on Raymond Briggs book, The Snowman is a family classic for generations to enjoy.
