    Spring Inspired Krispie Treats

This is a recipe for Rice Krispie treats taken up a notch for spring.
The treats are shaped like flowers and a 'stem' has been added to make these easy to enjoy!

Did you try my my Carrot Cake Rice Krispie Treats

Those krispie treats have been taken up a notch to taste like carrot cake.
I have many more variations on the cereal treat theme as well.

Colorful straws are used to make the stems that hold the krispie treat flowers. You can find the colorful straws here.

This recipe is for anyone looking for creative cereal treats.

I must say that I have posted and tasted many cereal treat recipes.
This cereal treat recipe could be about the prettiest one.

These krispie treats are kind of like flower shaped cake pops.

The flowers are made using krispie cereal.
Stems are made using colorful paper straws.

You may be asking what can I use instead of Rice Krispies.

Certainly Rice Kripie cereal is the most famous crispy cereal that can be used in a recipe such as this one. They pretty much invented the concept of cereal treats made with marshmallows.

However, you could try using another similar cereal to make yours.
For the best results in this recipe, I would stick to a puff rice cereal.
To get the fun colors that I have in my treats use a white or light colored cereal.

Tips for making the treat pops.

Working with the cereal and marshmallow mix can get sticky. I suggest that you spray your hands with a bit of nonstick or use a bit of oleo or oil on your hands.

    More tips for you

    1. We are using candy melts for the drizzled coating. You can use the colors of your choice, chocolate chips, or simply omit the decoration.
    2. Allow the krispie treats to fully cool before cutting them into shapes. Excess pieces can also be pressed together to form more flowers.
    3. (if it wont stick, dip it in melted chocolate and slide into treat).

    Personalize these cereal treats.

This is fun recipe idea as it is.
However, you can make yours more fun.

    Try one of these ideas.

    • Use different colors than I have used for a holiday, celebration or for your favorite sports team.
    • I am using a daisy shaped cookie cutter to get the flower shapes. You can use another flower or shape as desired.
    • Adding some sprinkles on top can make these pops even more fun!
