What makes these sugar cookies so tasty anyway?
The sugar cookies in this recipe have cream cheese added to them.
Some folks really like the cream cheese better than butter.
Cream cheese is added to cookies primarily as a fat.
As a fat, the cream cheese makes these cookies extra moist and chewy.
In this recipe the cream cheese is used in addition to the butter.
Tips for making cream cheese sugar cookies such as these.
It is best to use the full fat regular cream cheese rather than a substitute.
This is because it is the full fat that is needed to make these cookies so moist and chewy.
