Easy Floral Wreath DIY project idea is something that I like to do.

Even better, most of the materials for this project can be found at a dollar store.

Easy Floral Wreath DIY

This do it yourself project is for a wreath that is in the shape of a heart.
A heart shape wreath makes for a perfect decoration especially for Valentines day.

Have you seen my DIY Milk Bath Bombs idea?

That is another nice idea for an easy do it yourself project.
Both this heart shaped wreath and that bath bomb would make for a great gift idea for someone.

This wreath is based upon a heart shaped wire form. You can find Wire Heart Wreath Forms here.

This project is for anyone asking how do you make a simple heart wreath.

To be honest, I think that this wreath actually looks like it took a bit of time to make.
In reality, it did not take as much time to make as it looks like it did.

Because this wreath is fully covered, it looks like it may have come from a store.
This can be because you do not even see the wire form.
It really does not take a lot of time to make this project.

This is a DIY Floral Valentine's Day Wreath.

I say this because it is in the shape of a heart.
Valentine's day is the perfect time to display this heart wreath or give it to someone as a gift.

However, this wreath is not just for Valentine's day.
Really, this wreath would look nice when displayed during the spring months too.
Or, displayed for a wedding, wedding shower, or anniversary celebration.

Tips for making a heart shaped wreath.

This wreath idea can be made using materials found at a dollar or similar store.
However, I find that there are some materials that are better off being purchased at a craft or similar store for durability.

More tips for you

  1. Use a nautical rope that is for crafts for best results. This rope is softer and easier to work with.
  2. When wrapping the rope around the wreath, be sure to glue the rope as you go. This will help the rope stay evenly placed as you wrap.
  3. Preparing the roses before you start the project is recommended. This will make gluing them on to the wreath more streamlined for you.

Personalize this Valentine wreath.

This wreath project is great just the way it is.
However, you can take your wreath up a notch.
Try one of these ideas.

  • Use a different or different colored roses instead of just white.
  • Try a different kind of flower.
  • Use a colored rope instead of the white rope.

How to make this Easy Floral Wreath DIY.

Step One: prepare.
Remove any labels, packaging, or stickers that are attached to the wire form.
Carefully pop off the roses from the stems.

Step Two: wrap the wreath form.

Start at the top of the form and and work your way down. Glue the edge of the rope on the backside of the wreath, leaving enough of the rope on the backside to make a loop for hanging if desired.

Work your way down the heart wrapping the rope around the right half of the heart. You can apply the hot glue on the backside of the wire form as you go to hold the rope in place. Glue the end of the rope to the backside of the form when you have reached the bottom.

Step Three: attach the roses.

Carefully apply glue to the first rose where the stem was once attached. Then press the rose into the top of the wreath to cover where the rope had been started. Continue to attach the roses done the empty side of the wire wreath until the left side of the wreath has been covered. Allow the glue to dry before hanging the wreath.
