What you need to Make Chocolate Candy Bark

    • Chocolate Almond Bark.
    • Vanilla Almond Bark. Melting wafers can also work in this recipe.
    • Pastel Candy Such as Pastel M&M Chocolate Candies.
    • Optional add-ins. Easter Sprinkles, broken up pretzels, or another Easter candy such as Mini Cadbury Eggs.

    How to Make Easter Bark

3 Ingredient Easter Bark, a quick, customizable, and delicious no-bake recipe for chocolate topped with Easter candy.

    • Prep Time 15 minutes .
    • Servings 12 .
    • How to serve : Broken up into pieces.
    • Notes: You will need a rimmed baking sheet, a double boiler or microwave-safe bowl, and a toothpick to make this recipe.

    1. Prepare. Line a rimmed baking sheet (9x13") with parchment or wax paper.
    2. Melt- Double Boiler Method. In a double boiler over medium heat, melt the chocolate almond bark, whisking or stirring frequently, until the chocolate has melted.
    3. Melt- Microwave Method. Melt your chocolate almond bark in microwave-safe bowl, stopping to stir every 30 seconds, until smooth and melted.
    4. Transfer. Carefully transfer the melted chocolate to your lined baking sheet, evenly spreading the melted chocolate out. Then place the baking sheet in your refrigerator to help the chocolate semi-set while you move on to the next step.
    5. Vanilla Bark. Repeat the melting process with the vanilla almond bark. Once it has fully melted you can take the setting chocolate out of the refrigerator and carefully and evenly spread the melted vanilla almond bark over the chocolate (the chocolate on the bottom layer should not be fully set).
    6. Toothpick. To make the swirl design, drag your toothpick over the top of the bark, pulling up the bottom layer of chocolate, to create designs. Avoid over-swirling or taking up too much of the bottom layer as doing so can give your bark a “muddy” appearance.
    7. Toppings. Sprinkle your toppings, such a the pastel M&Ms, over the top layer of chocolate. Then lightly push the toppings in place to secure them if needed.
    8. Set. To set the bark, simply place the baking sheet into your freezer for 20 minutes or until fully set.
    9. Break Once the bark has fully set you can break the bark into smaller pieces for serving.

Tips for making the best Easter Bark.

Besides using almond bark in this recipe, chocolate chips, chocolate bars (for baking), or melting wafers can work in this recipe. Melting times can vary so it is best to read the melting directions on the packaging.

    More helpful tips for you.

    1. The bottom layer should be only slightly set enough before adding the vanilla layer You still want the bottom layer to not blend in with the top layer when it is add yet, somewhat soft enough to make the swirl designs.
    2. Consider adding a salty element, such as broken up pretzels, as a topping for a nice flavor balance.
    3. This recipe also works for other holidays and celebrations. Simply change up your toppings as needed.
