I like that this recipe has so many different ways to make it even more yummy!

Did you try my Simple S'Mores Snack Mix Recipe?

That recipe is really similar to this one in that they are both snack mixes based on common cereal.

However, this recipe is made with white chocolate topping rather than with the usual S'more ingredients such as marshmallows and graham crackers.

This snack mix would go great on a family walk or hike. See 25 Ways to Make Family Hikes Fun which is loaded with great tips and ideas!

This is a white chocolate puppy chow without peanut butter recipe.

Sometimes peanut butter can be added to a puppy chow or muddy buddy recipe.
Peanut butter can be added for both flavor and to add a creamy source of fat.

I find that peanut butter can be kind of messy in a recipe such as this one.

Also, not everyone wants peanut butter in their snack mix for various reasons.
Let me just mention that I have nothing personal against peanut butter.

Is muddy buddy the same as puppy chow is probably something that you are wondering right now.

It really can be a simple difference in semantics or definition. You can call this snack mix what you want to call it.

Muddy Buddy and Puppy Chow are pretty much two names for the same or similar snack mix recipe.

    1. Place the Chex Cereal in a large mixing bowl that you will have plenty of room for mixing the ingredients in. Set this aside.
    2. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the white chocolate, stopping to stir every 30 seconds, until smooth. Meanwhile, place the powdered sugar is a large zip top bag.
    3. When the white chocolate has fully melted and has cooled down for a few minutes, pour half of the melted chocolate over the cereal in the bowl and toss the ingredients. Then add the remaining melted chocolate and toss until all of the cereal appears covered with chocolate
