    How to make Maple Pecan Sweet Potato Pie

    Yield: 2 pies (6-8 servings each).
    Preparation time: 10 minutes.
    Bake time: 1 hr 45 mins

    Step One: prepare the sweet potatoes.

    1. Start by preheating your oven to 350. Then bake the sweet potatoes in the oven for 60 minutes.
    2. Remove the potatoes from the oven, allow them to cool for about five minutes or until cool to touch.
    3. Peel the potatoes and then place them into a large bowl.
    4. Mash the potatoes in the bowl and then set the bowl aside.

    Next, Step Two: make the filling.

    1. In a mixing bowl, beat together the butter and sugars until creamy.
    2. Add the eggs, extract, and the spices to the bowl and mix until just combined. Then stir in the evaporated milk.
    3. Transfer the mixture to the bowl with the mashed sweet potatoes and mix the ingredients together.

    Step Three: finish making the pie.

    1. Evenly distribute the ingredients into the pie crusts.
    2. In a smaller bowl, combine together the remaining ingredients to make the topping. Then sprinkle the topping over the pies.
    3. Bake the pies for 60-75 minutes, or until center of pie is still slightly jiggly and the edges are set and somewhat browned.
    4. Allow the pies to set and cool before slicing (about a half hour).

    • 6 Sweet Potatoes
    • ½ cup Butter
