- Start by preheating your oven to 350 and prepping your baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Use a whisk to combine together the flour, baking soda, and optional salt in a medium bowl.
- In a mixing bowl, beat together your butter with your sugars until creamy.
- Scrape down the sides of the mixing bowl and then mix in the eggs, milk and vanilla until combined.
- Scrape down the sides of the mixing bowl and then add the dry ingredients from your first bowl to your mixing bowl. Mix this until just combined.
- Use a rubber spatula or similar utensil to fold in the chocolate chips and granola.
- To scoop out the cookie batter, use a cookie scoop (medium used for my cookies) and then place the scooped out cookies about an inch and half to two inches apart (they will spread while baking).
- Bake the cookies until the edges begin to brown (about 10 minutes). Then allow the cookies to sit on the sheets for five minutes before transferring them to a wire cooling rack to completely cool .
