This recipe can be made in advance and refrigerated. I would add the green onions before serving however.

- In a mixing bowl, use a beater attachment to cream together the cream cheese and sour cream until well blended. Then beat in the ranch seasoning and the chili powder (or cayenne pepper or hot sauce) to the bowl and blend, making adjustments as desired.
- Use a rubber spatula or similar utensil to fold in the cheddar cheese. Then transfer the ingredients to a serving bowl or similar bowl.
- Cover the dip and refrigerate for at least an hour for the ingredients to set.
- Before serving the dip, you can top the dip with the green onions.
Expert Tip 👉 To thicken your dip you can add additional softened cream cheese. To thin your dip out you can use ranch dressing, plain Greek yogurt, or additional sour cream.
