The ingredients in this recipe are simple ingredients that you may have on hand. Feel free to adjust your ingredients as needed.
- Bread. My bread was made with a round sourdough loaf.
- Butter. Salted butter was used to make my bread. A butter alternative, such as margarine, will not provide the flavor that makes this bread so good.
- Garlic. Use fresh garlic that has been minced. You can add additional garlic if you want a more glarlicy tasting bread.
- Seasonings Salt, freshly ground pepper, and parsley was used in my bread.
- Mozzarella Cheese. Shredded was used in my bread. You could probably use deli sliced cheese or grated cheese for a different cheesy texture.
Tips for making the best pull apart bread.
Using a firm or dense bread works best for pull apart. Sourdough or a crusty Italian bread could work.

- My bread was made in a Dutch oven for even heating. If you do not have a Dutch oven, you can simply wrap your stuffed loaf in foil and place it on a baking sheet.
- Bake your bread in the center of the oven for better heating.
- Feel free to take your bread up a notch by adding additional seasonings, bacon bit, or pepperoni slices.
- Eating this can get messy. Make sure that you have plenty of napkins on hand.

How to make Cheesy Garlic Pull-Apart Bread.
Prep Time : 15 minutes .

- Move an oven rack to the center of your oven if possible. Then preheat your oven to 350 and prep your Dutch oven (or baking sheet) for nonstick. Parchment paper works well for the Dutch oven.
- To slice the bread, cut one inch slices in a criss-cross manner. The slices should not go further than ¾ths of the way into the bread. Then use your fingers to gently pull apart and loosen up the slits so that you can fill them with the other ingredients.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, microwave your seasonings, garlic, and butter for 30 seconds. Carefully stir the ingredients and repeat as needed until the butter has melted.
- Use a pastry brush to to coat the bread with the melted mixture. Make sure that you also brush the melted ingredients into the cut slits in the bread.
- Next, stuff the cheese into the cut slits in the bread. You may need to gently push the cheese in place, making sure to not go all the way through the bottom of the bread.
- Bake the bread for 12-15 minutes or until the cheese has melted and the loaf has toasted to your preferences.
- Let the bread cool for a few minutes before serving.
Expert Tip👉 You can make the outside of the bread more crisp by carefully uncovering it after 12 minutes of baking and baking for a few more minutes.
