    How to make cornflake candy.

    Prep Time: 15 minutes .
    Cook Time: 5 minutes .
    Servings: 12 .
How to Serve: With sprinkles on top or as desired.
Notes: You will need a rimmed baking sheet, large mixing bowl, saucepan, and cookie scoop .

    1. Prepare. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper or a baking mat. Also, place your cornflakes in a large mixing bowl.
    2. Heat. In a large saucepan on medium-high heat, combine together the sugar and corn syrup, stirring constantly, bring it to a boil, allowing the sugar to fully dissolve. Then immediatly, carefully remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the peanut butter and vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
    3. Combine. Carefully pour the warm ingredients over your cornflakes in the mixing bowl and toss or stir until the cornflakes are well coated with the mixture.
    4. Scoop. Use a small cookie scoop to scoop out the mixture and then drop each of the scooped ingredients on to your prepared baking sheet.
    5. Toppings. You can add any optional toppings, such as sprinkles, over the scooped ingredients.
    6. Set. Allow the candy to fully cool and set. I would not place the candy in a refrigerator as doing so can make them harder to chew.

Tips for making the best Cornflake Candy

Properly cooking the sugar mixture is essential to the success of this recipe. Once the mixture begins to boil it should immediately be removed from the heat.

    More helpful tips for you.

    1. Creamy peanut butter really works best in this recipe because of its smooth texture. "Natural" or "Organic" peanut butter should be avoided as they tend to separate.
    2. When you combine the ingredients with the cornflakes, take care not to crush the cornflakes. It is best to fold the ingredients together rather than stir them aggressively.
    3. Allow your cornflake candy to fully set before storing them. You do not want them to stick together.
