Why we love fudge that looks like candy corn.

Ingredients needed to make candy corn inspired fudge.

The white chocolate chips, condensed milk, and butter will be divided (as indicated) to make the layers of the fudge.

    • White chocolate chips. Use a good quality white chocolate chip that can be melted.
    • Sweetened Condensed Milk. Condensed milk gives this fudge the structure it needs to become fudge.
    • Butter. This adds a bit of flavor and helps to keep the melted chips smooth.
    • Food Coloring Gel. Adds the color to the layers. You will need orange and yellow (or brown).
    • Optional: candy corn to decorate your bars with.

Tips for making the best candy corn fudge.

This is an incredibly easy recipe to make. What is essential is that you follow the directions as there are the layers in this recipe.

    More helpful tips for you.

    1. Fresh white chocolate chips were used to make my fudge. If you decide to use a melting wafer, you may need to adjust the butter and cooking time.
    2. Gel food coloring must be used as regular food coloring will not work.
    3. You will need to refrigerate the fudge between layers so that the layers will be fully set. If you fudge layers are not properly set, you will probably not have clear layers.
    4. While this fudge is flavorful on its own, you can add a bit of maple extract or vanilla extract for additional flavor.
    5. A microwave is used to melt the chocolate. Stopping the microwave every 30 seconds will help the chocolate melted evenly and smooth.
    6. When you prep your pan for nonstick, use parchment paper that overhangs the sides of the pan to make it easier to remove the set fudge for slicing. I like to lightly spray the parchment paper with a bit of nonstick as well.

Easy Candy Corn Fudge Recipe made with just three ingredients plus a bit of food coloring. Perfect for fall and Halloween.

How to make this Easy Candy Corn Fudge Recipe .

    Prep Time: 15 minutes .
Chill Time: up to 6 hours .
Servings: 16, depending on how it is cut. .

    1. Start by lining a square baking dish or pan with parchment paper. I like to have excess paper overhanging the sides of the dish to make it easier to remove the set fudge.
    2. Make the yellow (bottom) layer. In a microwave safe bowl, place one cup of white chocolate chips, a half tablespoon of butter, and a third of the sweetened condensed milk (half a cup). Microwave the ingredients until smooth, stopping to stir every 30 seconds (it should take about a minute depending on your microwave).
    3. Once your ingredients are melted and smooth, stir in one (or two if needed) drops of the yellow food gel coloring. Then transfer the ingredients to your prepared baking dish and refrigerate until set (about an hour).
    4. Make the orange layer. Repeat the process of melting the ingredients that you did for the yellow layer (microwave one cup of white chocolate chips, a half tablespoon of butter, and a third of the sweetened condensed milk (half a cup) until smooth, stopping to stir every 30 seconds.) Then stir in the orange food coloring gel just as you did with the yellow gel.
    5. Evenly spread the orange layer ingredients over the yellow layer and refrigerate until set.
    6. When your fudge is 'almost set' you can add candy corn or other toppings.
    7. For the white layer, repeat the steps for making the layers but, do not add any food coloring as this layer will be white.
    8. Refrigerate the fudge until fully set. Then use the overhanging parchment paper to lift the fudge out of the pan.
    9. To cut your fudge into 16 pieces, cut the fudge in half and then cut the halves in half. Continue to cut the fudge pieces into halves until you have 16 pieces.

Expert Tip👉 You can really use any size or shaped pan to make this recipe. The bigger the pan the thinner your layers and fudge will be while the smaller the pan the thicker your fudge will be. Keep in mind that thicker fudge will take longer time to set than the thinner fudge.

    How to store layered fudge.

Once your fudge has fully set it can be stored in an airtight container. When properly stored at room temperature , this fudge should keep for a couple of weeks. I would store with parchment paper or wax paper between layers however.
