More helpful tips for you.
- My breakfast sausage was crumbled up to provide a taste of sausage in every bite. You can chop your sausage instead for large chunks.
- You can also try using a turkey or other kind of sausage in this recipe if you are looking for something different. As long as the sausage has been precooked- you should be okay.
- An average sized muffin pan was used to make my muffins. You can alternatively make this in a jumbo muffin pan or a mini muffin pan (baking time may differ).
- You can sprinkle grated or shredded cheese on top to make your muffins even better.
- To fill the muffin cups with batter, you may find it easiest (and less messy) when you use a cookie scoop. Also, fill your muffin cups about three fourths full as well to prevent the batter from over-running the muffin cups while baking.
- The muffins are baked through when they are golden around the edges and they can spring back after lightly touching them on top.
