    Cooking Time: 15 minutes .
    Servings: 2 .

    1. Prepare. Preheat your oven to 450. Also, prep a rimmed baking sheet for nonstick (foil can work).
    2. Egg. Melt your butter in a skillet on medium heat. Once the butter has melted you can add your beaten egg and cook until done (about two minutes- depending on how you like your egg).
    3. Muffin. Place the sliced halves of your muffin on the prepared baking sheet with the insides of the muffin facing up. The use a spoon to evenly spread the marinara sauce over the muffins to about a quarter inch from the edges.
    4. Layer. Place your scrambled egg on top of the marinara sauce and the layer the cheese and pepperoni on top.
    5. Bake. Bake your pizzas until the cheese is melted and bubbly (about six to eight minutes).

Tips for making the best breakfast pizzas.

This recipe is perfect for using up day old muffins as they are less likely to get soggy with the wet ingredients on top. If your muffins are fresh you can toast them first.

    More helpful tips for you.

    1. A scrambled egg was used to make my breakfast pizza. Really, any method that you use to cook your egg can work in this recipe (such as over easy).
    2. In a hurry? Try broiling your pizzas instead of baking them in the oven (about three minutes). A toaster oven can also be used to cook your pizzas.
    3. Prepared pepperoni was used to make pizzas. If you use another breakfast meat, such as bacon or sausage, make sure that it has been cooked first.

How to store leftover breakfast pizza.

Once your breakfast pizzas have fully cooled they can be stored in an airtight container or individually wrapped in foil. When properly stored, breakfast pizzas should keep for up to a couple of days when refrigerated or up to a couple of months when frozen. You can then reheat your pizza in your oven or toaster oven (eggs can get 'rubbery' in a microwave).
