About DIY Heart Shaped Bath Bombs.
This is a simple project for heart shaped homemade bath bombs.
These bath bombs are scented with rose oil and contain skin soothing ingredients.
To make these bath bombs we will first combine ingredients together.
We will then fill the heart shaped molds with the ingredients.
Lastly, after the bath bombs have fully set, we will remove them from the molds and enjoy them.
Ingredients needed to make Valentines Rose Heart Bath Bombs.
- Baking Soda. This helps make the bath bomb fizz.
- Epsom Salts. Helps to relax the muscles and joints.
- Cornstarch. Slows down or stabilizes the bath bomb so that is lasts a bit longer.
- Citric Acid. Also help to break down the bomb and add fizz in the water.
- Sweet Almond Oil. Adds moisture to the bath and thus, your skin.
- Water. Added to help the ingredients mesh together.
- Rose Absolute Essential Oil. This is where we get that wonderful rose scent from.
- Mini Rose Petals. This is an added detail that looks nice in the bath bombs and tub.
Expert Tip 👉 Use some kind of a drain cover if needed to prevent the petals from causing an issue.
How to make Valentines Rose Heart Bath Bombs
1. Add the baking soda, epsom salts, corn starch, and citric acid to a medium bowl and stir with a whisk for 2-3 minutes, until completely combined.
2. Slowly add the sweet almond oil, drip by drip, while stirring with the whisk. Be careful not to pour too quickly and don’t stop stirring, as the liquid can activate the fizz.
3. Repeat the step above with the water.
4. Add the essential oils, while stirring.
5. Peel petals off the rode buds, and add a few to 9 of the heart mold cavities.
6. Spoon bath bomb mixture into the mold cavities, then press down with your fingers to pack them.
7. Allow bath bombs to set for about 4-6 hours, then unmold.
Step One: prepare the ingredients.
Gather your ingredients. Prepare your work station. Clean and dry the silicon mold if needed.
Step Two: combine ingredients.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the baking soda, citric acid, cornstarch, and epsom salts until blended.
This should take about two to three minutes. - Add the almond oil to the mixture. Do this one drop at a time and whisk the ingredients while you add the drops.
- Next, add the water drop by drop also whisking as you add do this.
- Lastly, stir in the Rose Absolute Essential Oil.
Step Three: finish making the bombs.
- Place four to six petals in each of the heart molds.
- Transfer the ingredients from the bowl to each of the heart molds, packing it in using your fingers.
- Lastly, allow the bombs to set at room temperature (five to six hours).
- Once set, you can unmold the hearts and enjoy!
