- While my turtles were made with Rolo candies, you can use a different kind of candy. Peanut butter cups or holiday Rolo candy could work in this recipe.
- Other nuts that can work in this recipe include walnut halves or sliced brazil nuts.
- If your pecan does not want to stay in place you can use a softened chocolate chip (or two) to help keep it in place.
- Use a rimmed baking sheet that is lined with parchment paper or a baking mat. This will help make for an easier clean up and prevent sticking.

- The turtles will be warmed up in the oven so that they chocolate can get soft enough to hold the pecan. You may need to lightly press the pecan in place.

- Prepare. Unwrap your candies, line a rimmed baking sheet(s) with parchment paper, and preheat your oven to 325.
- Pretzels. Place your pretzels on your baking sheet(s) about an inch apart from one another.
- Candies. On the center of each of your pretzels, place a candy.
- Bake. Place your baking sheet(s) in the center of your oven and bake the ingredients until the chocolates have softened (not melted, about three to five minutes). Then take the turtles out of your oven.
- Pecans. Carefully press a pecan into the melted chocolate.
- Cool. Allow the candies to set- you can place them into the refrigerator to speed this up.
