What are S'Mores ?
This is especially a popular treat to enjoy when made over a fire, such as a campfire.
Legend has it that it was the Girls Scouts who originally came up with the recipe and concept for S'Mores.
The word S'More, is a actually a contraction word.
That is, 'S'Mores' is short for "some more" which is what many folks ask for after eating a S'More around the campfire.
S'Mores brownies are both brownies and S'Mores baked together.
These brownies are commonly baked in an oven rather than over a campfire.
The S'Mores brownies in this recipe are a three layered dessert.
On the bottom layer there is a graham cracker crust.
Over the crust is a brownie layer which is then topped with the marshmallows and chocolate candy bars.
Tips for making the best S'Mores Brownies.
For easier removal of the brownies and clean-up, prep your pan well for nonstick. For a recipe such as this one, I like to use foil, that overhangs the edges of the pan, with nonstick spray on top.
